Product Description

1. The electrical conductivity of potassium iodate (KIO₃) was measured at 25°C [66]. The data are presented in the table below; C – concentration of potassium iodate (g-equiv·L⁻¹); A – equivalent conductivity of the solution corrected for water. Determine Λ₀ – the limiting equivalent conductivity of KIO₃.

C (g-equiv·L⁻¹) A (S·cm²/mol)

2. Based on the calculations from part 1, determine the conductivity at infinite dilution for sodium iodate and lithium iodate. Use the conductivity data at infinite dilution for the ions:

Li⁺: 36.68 S·cm²/mol

Na⁺: 50.10 S·cm²/mol

K⁺: 73.50 S·cm²/mol

3. Calculate the conductivities of lithium iodate and sodium iodate at C = 0.002 mol/L.
