When determining the concentration of Zn2 ions in wastewater from a fibre production plant using direct coulometry, based on the "parchmentation" of paper with a concentrated ZnCl2 solution, the amount of electricity spent on the complete reduction of Zn2 ions was measured with an iodine coulometer. How many milligrams of zinc are contained in 1 dm3 of wastewater if, when analysing a 100 cm3 sample, 15.2 cm3 of a 0.1 N sodium thiosulfate solution were spent on titrating the iodine released during electrolysis in a coulometer?
