Product Description
4. From a sample of BaCl2*2H2O weighing 1.099 g, 100.0 ml of solution was prepared, to 20.00 ml of which Na2MgEDTA was added. The titration of the resulting mixture required 17.65 ml of 0.05085 M EDTA. Calculate the mass fraction (%) of BaCl2 in the sample, assuming that when titrating barium in the presence of magnesium n(Ba)=n(EDTA). Compare the calculated value with the theoretical one for BaCl2*2H2O. Answer: 85.00%; theory 85.25%.
