Product Description
15. Wastewater containing 0.25% (mass) BaCl2 is purified by reverse osmosis through a polymethylene film at 20 C and a working pressure of 8.2 MPa. Calculate the BaCl2 content in the withdrawn concentrate, assuming the process is ideal (the membrane perfectly allows water to pass through) and the degree of BaCl2 dissociation is 0.78. What proportion of wastewater can be returned for reuse in this way? The density of the solutions is assumed to be 1000 kg/m3.
