Product Description
2. A 0.2500 g sample of steel was dissolved in a mixture of acids, the solution was diluted in a 100.0 ml volumetric flask. To determine titanium, hydrogen peroxide and phosphoric acid were added to 25.0 ml of the resulting solution and diluted to 50.0 ml. The optical density of the resulting yellow solution is 0.220. To another 25.0 ml portion was added a solution containing 0.2000 mg of titanium. and processed similarly to the first solution. The optical density of this solution turned out to be 0.5000. What is the mass fraction of titanium in steel?
