Product Description
69. Molar absorption coefficients of 8-hydroxyquinolates of cobalt (II) and nickel (II) in a solution of HCE-acetone at 365 nm are εCo= 3529 εNi= 3228. At λ = 700 nm, only cobalt oxyquinolate absorbs light: εCo = 428.9. Precipitates of cobalt and nickel oxyquinolates were obtained from 10.0 ml of the test solution, dissolved in 25.0 ml of a mixture of HCE and acetone, and the optical density was measured at 365 and 700 nm in a cuvette L = 1 cm. Calculate the content (µg/ml) of cobalt and nickel in solution A365 = 0.820, A700 = 0.083?
