Determine the equilibrium concentration of iodine in the water layer if 1 liter of water is shaken with 200 cm3 of a solution of iodine in carbon tetrachloride containing 10 g/l of iodine. Iodine in water and carbon tetrachloride has a normal molecular weight. Answer: 0.1105 g/l.
