Product Description
6. The table below cites the results of measuring the turbidity of sodium dodecyl sulfate solutions (molecular weight 272.37 g/mol) in a 0.02 mol/L NaCl medium in the concentration range above CMC. Based on them, determine the molar mass and aggregation number of micelles (the number of surfactant molecules in one micelle), if it is known that the CMC of these solutions is 1.10 g/l, the turbidity at the CMC point is 5.67 * 10-3 m-1, the wavelength of light 436 nm, the refractive index of light in the solvent is 1.333, the refractive index increment Δn/Δс = 0.120 cm3/g.
