Product Description
13. The molar absorption coefficient of neodymium and praseodymium nitrates are equal at λ=442 nm, e(Pr)=3000, e(Nd)=1230. At λ=566 nm, only the vanadium complex absorbs light e(Nd)=429. A 10 ml sample of the test solution was brought to 25 ml with nitric acid and the optical density was measured at λ=422 nm and λ=566 nm in a cuvette with l=1 cm. Calculate the content of neodymium and praseodymium in the solution if D442=0.970, D=0.28
