Product Description
2. To determine molybdenum, the oxidation reaction of iodide ion with hydrogen peroxide, catalyzed by Mo(IV) compounds, was used. 5.00; 10.00 and 15.00 ml of ammonium molybdate solution with T((NH4)2MoO4/Mo)=4.45*10-8 g/ml were added to three 50.00 ml measuring flasks. The studied solutions were also placed in 50.00 ml measuring flasks. After adding reagents (KI, HCl, starch, H2O2) and bringing the volumes to the mark, the optical density A was measured as a function of time t for all solutions:
Standard solutions (tga) Test solutions (tga)
1 2 3 1 2 3 4
0.750 1.000 1.250 0.950 1.100 0.850 1.210
Plot a calibration graph in tga-cMo coordinates and determine the mass of molybdenum (g) in the test solutions.
Solution for option 1
