King of the Castle is a multiplayer fantasy game where power changes and new intrigues are woven every minute, and the narrative is driven by players. It has two co-op modes.

Play with friends:
In online mode, your friends can join the game as nobles and vote on the council via browser, mobile device or desktop. Only you, as the rightful monarch, are in complete control of the game.

Play on Twitch:
In broadcast mode, King of the Castle fully integrates with the Twitch API. As the host of the broadcast, you are given the role of monarch, and using the !join command in the chat, your audience can join the game as noble advisors (up to 3,000 people). Viewers will be able to vote for or reject your decisions and decide the fate of the kingdom.

Become a wise ruler
• As a monarch, make your choices carefully. All your decisions depend on the votes of your treacherous nobles.
• Balance the conflicting demands of the different regions of your kingdom - each with their own desires, challenges and ongoing conspiracies.
• Bribe, persuade, or intimidate to overcome difficult votes that threaten to go your way, or try to change laws to give yourself additional veto power.

Make history
• Think carefully about your decisions as a monarch. The treacherous nobles will vote for your every choice.
• Maintain harmony in the kingdom by fulfilling the demands of the feudal lands, where complex intrigues and conspiracies are woven.
• Bribe, persuade or intimidate - choose the best way to sway votes in your favor, or try to change laws to gain veto power.

Beware of betrayal
• Expose the machinations of the insidious nobles who are hatching plans for a coup: they want to replace you with their puppet.
• Tax the land that's causing you trouble and watch your gold (and salt) grow!
• Be careful: if the nobles' level of disobedience gets too high, they will rebel against you, and civil strife will tear the kingdom apart!

Keep Harmony
When you enter the game, the nobles from your council are assigned to different sides of the kingdom. Today, the rulers of the lands are ready to kill each other, and tomorrow’s changes will turn them into your allies, albeit unreliable ones.

Each noble votes on behalf of one of these lands:
• The windy north, where the most worthy leaders feast in luxurious halls on the tops of snow-capped mountains.
• A prosperous coastline, where cunning patricians own untold wealth and lead trade guilds.
• The vast east, where ruthless counts build eerie castles in impassable forest thickets.
• An unconquered frontier, where stern barons guard the borders and train troops.
• The sultry south, where zealous nobles live in sun-scorched estates and pray to the ninth god for salvation.
• Depending on your decisions and the votes of the council, during your reign some lands will become rich and prosperous, while others will be consumed by chaos and anarchy, and ultimately they will turn against you.

Your job as a monarch is to look after all the lands!
