Product Description

1. To determine the content of Fe(CN)64- and Fe(CN)63- ions in the mixture, absorption was measured at 2040 cm-1 (absorbs only Fe(CN)64-) and 2115 cm-1 (absorbs only Fe(CN) 63-). To prepare standard solutions, 10.00 was placed in 50 ml volumetric flasks; 8.00; 5.00; 2.00 ml of 0.5 M K3Fe(CN)6 solution. To prepare standard solutions of Na4Fe(CN)6, 5.00 was placed in 50 ml volumetric flasks; 2.00; 1.00; 0.50 ml of 0.5 M Na4Fe(CN)6 solution. We measured the absorption of standard solutions and obtained the following data:
v=2040 cm-1 v=2115 cm-1
V, ml 5.00 2.00 1.00 0.50 10.00 8.00 5.00 2.00
A 1.05 0.425 0.210 0.106 0.590 0.475 0.295 0.120
Determine the concentration of Fe(CN)64- and Fe(CN)63- ions in the mixture (A2040=0.20; A2115=0.53).
