Product Description
8. To determine the CaCO3 content in water, an excess of HgNH3Y2– was added to a sample of 25.0 ml, from which the EDTA anion was generated at the mercury cathode: HgNH3Y2– NH4 2e– → Hgl 2NH3 HY3–. To reach the end point of the titration according to the reaction: Ca2 HY3 – NH3 = CaY2 – NH4, it was necessary to pass a current of 20.1 mA for 2 min 56 s. Calculate the content (mg/l) of CaCO3 in the analyzed water.
