Product Description
A load weighing 1 kg, attached to a spring with a stiffness of 20 N/m, can oscillate on a horizontal steel rod (Fig. 35.3). The initial deviation of the load from the equilibrium position is 30 cm. Determine how many swings the load will make before it comes to a complete stop. One swing is a movement from the maximum deviation to the equilibrium position (or vice versa). For numerical calculation, take g=10 m/s2 and m=0.05.
