A small cylindrical vessel with cross-sectional area s = 0.2S is fixed above the middle of a large cylindrical vessel with area S and height H = 60 cm. The upper vessel contains mercury, and the height of its level above the level of the lower vessel is h = 1.5 m (Fig.). Through a hole in the middle of the bottom of a small vessel, mercury is poured into a large vessel. Determine the change in temperature of mercury dt if its specific heat c = 0.12 kJ/kgK. Neglect the heat capacity of the vessels and heat dissipation into the surrounding space. Acceleration of free fall g is taken equal to g = 10 m/s2.
