Product Description
A weightless spring of stiffness k is attached to a wooden cube of mass M lying on a flat horizontal surface. The other end of the spring is fixed. A bullet of mass m hits a cube and gets stuck in it (the bullet flies along a horizontal axis passing through the center of gravity of the cube at speed v0). Determine the maximum displacement of the cube dx if a frictional force arises between the cube and the horizontal surface. Friction coefficient c (Fig.).
