Product Description
Geysers can be thought of as large underground reservoirs filled with groundwater and heated by underground heat (picture). The exit from them to the surface of the earth is through a narrow channel, which during the “quiet” period is filled with water. Considering that the “active” period begins when the water in the underground reservoir boils, and that during a geyser eruption the channel is filled only with steam, which is thrown out, estimate what part of the water the geyser reservoir loses during one eruption
