Product Description
A uranium ball of radius R = 10 cm, placed in a vessel with water, is irradiated with a uniform flux of neutrons. As a result of fission reactions of uranium nuclei in the ball, energy q = 100 W/cm3 is released. Water temperature T0 = 373 K, thermal conductivity of uranium k = 400 W/(m•K). Find the stationary temperature distribution in the ball, as well as the temperature at its center.
