At the GAMS4 high-resolution spectrometer in Grenoble, a cascade transition from a highly excited to the ground state with the sequential emission of two gamma rays with energies E1 = 5 MeV and E2 = 1.5 MeV was recorded for the 49Ti isotope. Precision measurements of the E2 line shape showed that it has a width DE = 400 eV. Estimate the lifetime of a level with energy E2.
