Product Description
There is a man in the center of the motionless carousel. He moves at a constant speed to the edge of the carousel, moving from east to west. Considering the carousel to be a homogeneous disk, determine at what ratio of the masses of a person and the carousel m/M the latter will acquire an angular velocity equal to a quarter of the angular velocity of the daily rotation of the Earth. Assume that the carousel is located at latitude j = 30°, and neglect the friction in the carousel bearings.
