Product Description
23. We carried out a GLC analysis of a mixture consisting of acetone, benzene and hexane, using a filled column with a length L = 1000 mm, on the resulting chromatogram we determined the characteristics of the peaks of all three components - the retention distance I, the height h, the half-width a1/2 of the peak and found:
Component I, mm h, mm a1/2mm:
Acetone 35 87 4
Hexane 48 104 4
Benzene 58 164 6
Calculate the parameters characterizing the efficiency of the chromatographic column - the number of theoretical plates n, the value of HETP. Calculate the degree of separation, R, of two pairs of components: acetone-hexane and hexane-benzene. Determine the mass fraction W (in percent) of each component in the mixture using the internal normalization method.
