Product Description
14. Shake 10.0 ml of 1.0×10-2 M solution of 1-nitroso-2-naphthol (HL) in CHC13 with 20.0 ml of 0.1 M aqueous solution of KC1. It is known that PKa,HL = 7.63; the solubility of HL in water S(v) = 1.06×10-3 mol/l, and in CHC13 - S(o) = 1.35 mol/l. Calculate the HL concentration in both phases at pH 8.33.
Answer: c(o) = 9.9×10-3 mol/l, c(v) = 4.7×10-5 mol/l.
Answer: c(o) = 9.9×10-3 mol/l, c(v) = 4.7×10-5 mol/l.
